Confluence Academies: Coronavirus School Closing Updates

In St. Louis, on Saturday, March 21, Mayor Lyda Krewson announced a mandatory 30-day “Stay at Home” order aimed at preventing further spread of the COVID-19 virus. In light of this new restriction, all schools in the City of St. Louis, including Confluence Academies, have decided to extend their closures through April 22. This decision will be continually re-evaluated in coordination with the Mayor’s Office and Dr. Fredrick Echols, the Director of the City’s Department of Health.

This is a very difficult time for our families, our communities and the entire world. These extended closures will help to slow the spread of this virus, which is critical to protect our health and try to avoid overwhelming our health care system.

As I said last week, St. Louis Public Schools will serve breakfast and lunch meals to children ages 18 and younger and will begin today March 23, 2020, at three Confluence locations Old North Academy (3017 North 13th Street, St. Louis, MO 63107, Confluence Preparatory Academy (School Hours: 310 N. 15th Street, St. Louis, MO 63103), and South City Academy (3112 Meramec St., St. Louis, MO 63118). Meal service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The flyer below lists all participating schools in the City of St. Louis. This meal service will extend at least through the new anticipated end of school closures on April 22.

We will continue to provide you with the latest information about our schools and the evolving response to the COVID-19 pandemic via email, our website (, and our social media outlets to help students and families navigate this difficult period.

The health and safety of our students is our highest priority and we will continue to work in collaboration with public health officials, other government officials. We will do our part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of our students, their families, and our staff.
